Q1. When can I start bidding for the silent auction lots?
All online auction lots will be available for bidding from 4 August 2023.
Q2. When will the silent auction bidding close?
All online auction lots bidding will be closed on 30 September 2023, 11:59pm (SGT)
Q3. When can I start bidding for the live auction lots?
All live auction lots will be available for public bidding from 19 August 2023. Please note that only the highest public bid entry for each lot will be put up at the live auction on 2 September 2023 at Capella Singapore.
Q4. When will the live auction bidding close for public?
All live auction lots public bidding will be closed on 1 September 2023, 12:00pm (SGT)
Q5. How does the silent auction work?
The silent auction will receive bids until 30 September. After the silent auction closes, the highest listed bidder for each item wins. The current bids will not be made known to other bidders. We encourage interested bidders to place your preferred highest price for your desired item to maximise your chances of winning the bid.
Q6. How do I place a bid for the silent auction?
To place a bid, go to the lot details and click on the ‘Bid’ button. You will be prompted to enter your contact details and bid amount. By submitting a bid, you acknowledged that you have accepted the Terms & Conditions and agreed that bids submitted by you are final and will be honoured.
Q7. How do I place a bid for the live auction?
To place a bid, please email us at nafa85auction@nafa.edu.sg to register an absentee bid. By submitting a bid, you acknowledged that you have accepted the Terms & Conditions and agreed that bids submitted by you are final and will be honoured.
Q8. How will I know if my bid is successful?
All silent auction bid results will be announced via email to successful bidders by 6 October 2023. For live auction, A NAFA representative will contact the public bidder via email by 4 September 2023 on the bid results.
Q9: How do I make payment if my bid is successful?
After you have received the email announcement from us, please fill in the donation form that will be sent to you via email and submit the form together with proof of payment to nafa85auction@nafa.edu.sg.
Q10: What are the available payment modes?

Q11: Will I receive tax deduction if my bid is successful?
A 2.5x tax deduction will be issued based on the difference between the closing bid price and the starting bid price of the lot (GST excluded). Please note that there will be no tax deduction issued if the difference is less than SGD10.
Q11: Are the prices inclusive of Goods & Services Tax (GST)?
All listed prices are not inclusive of GST. Please note that the final purchase price will be charged with the prevailing 8% GST.
Q13: When will I receive my item(s) after a successful bid?
We will arrange for your winning lot(s) to be delivered to your preferred location by end October 2023, after payment has been made.
Terms & Conditions
By participating in this auction, you acknowledge that you are bound by the following terms and conditions.

As Is. Goods auctioned are often of some age. All property is sold “AS IS” without any representations or warranties by NAFA as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, the correctness of the items listed in this auction or other images or descriptions of the physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, medium, frame, provenance, exhibitions, literature or historical relevance of any property and no statement anywhere, whether oral or written, whether made in this auction, an advertisement, a bill of sale, a salesroom posting or announcement, or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. NAFA makes no representations and warranties, express or implied, as to whether the purchaser acquires any copyrights, including but not limited to, any reproduction rights in any property. NAFA is not responsible for errors and omissions in the catalogue, glossary, or any supplemental material. NAFA will not be responsible or liable for damage to frames and glass coverings, regardless of the cause.

Withdrawal. NAFA reserves the right to withdraw any property before, during and after the sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for such withdrawal.

Per Lot. All bids are per lot as numbered in the online auction.

Bidding. When you click on ‘Place a Bid’ on a lot, you will be prompted to enter your personal information and your bid amount. By submitting a bid, you acknowledged that you have accepted the Terms & Conditions. All bids placed in this auction are governed by the Terms & Conditions. As soon as you place and confirm your bid amount, your bid is submitted. You accept and agree that bids submitted by you are final and will be honoured. The current leading bid for this auction will not be visible to all bidders.

Closing Bidding. Bids may be submitted from the start of the auction until bidding on the specific lot closes. An end time will be displayed for each lot on the lot detail page.

Cancelling Bids. All bids placed are non-cancellable.

Purchaser’s Responsibility. At the close of a lot, the contract between NAFA and the purchaser is concluded, and the winning bidder thereupon will immediately pay the full purchase price within 14 days of receiving the winning bid notification from NAFA. NAFA is not obligated to release a lot to the purchaser until full payment has been received. Please note that NAFA reserves the right to refuse to accept payment from a source other than the buyer of record.

Delivery. NAFA will arrange for your winning lot(s) to be delivered to your preferred location by end October 2023, after payment has been made. NAFA will bear the full cost of delivery within Singapore. For any location outside of Singapore, the purchaser is responsible for all crating, packing, shipping, and related expenses.

Tax. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to comply with all tax laws, including sales tax obligations, the purchaser is subject to in all jurisdictions. By purchasing an item in the online auction, the purchaser agrees to indemnify NAFA from any and all tax due, including sales tax, on the purchase in all other applicable jurisdictions if NAFA is not legally required to collect tax in that jurisdiction.

Export and Permits. It is the purchaser’s sole responsibility to identify and obtain any necessary export, import, firearm, endangered species or other permit for the lot. Any symbols or notices in the auction reflect NAFA’s reasonable opinion at the time of cataloguing and are for bidders’ general guidance only; NAFA makes no representations or warranties as to whether any lot is or is not subject to export or import restrictions or any embargoes.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction. The validity and construction of the terms and conditions of this auction shall be governed by the Laws of the Republic of Singapore.

Data Protection. Your personal information will be collected by NAFA for purposes of completing any transactions hereunder and conducting this auction. NAFA will also hold and process your personal information and may share it with another entity for use as described in, and in line with, our Privacy Policy published on our website at https://www.nafa.edu.sg/privacy-statement.
