About
Artist’s Statement
The jumpsuit was developed as a part of my BA (hons) collection under the guidance of Mr Anthony Tan. The collection sees a softer side of me. Taking a cue from my love for tailoring, the collection takes on a quiet and monastic quality. Structured tailored qualities are stripped back and rewritten with a looser hand. Long over long styling on looks places an emphasis on layering and a neutral palette.

A deconstructed satin jumpsuit from the Spring Summer 2021 collection. The design strategy for the collection plays on a humble Southeast Asian garment - the sarong. Extend, wrap and drape informs how the garments are designed, constructed and worn. Transforming high-summer sarong shapes into modern dressing codes.
