Artist’s Statement

I draw inspiration from the intricate patterns and forms found in nature. Exploring the relationship between humans and the natural world, I aim to raise awareness about environmental issues through my artwork. My Flora Series showcases the beauty and fragility of plant life highlighting the need for its preservation. Through meticulous sculpting and painting techniques I aim to capture the essence of different plant species showcasing their unique attributes.

In my Seed Series, I focus on the concept of growth and potential. Seeds represent the promise of new life and the resilience of nature. Each sculpture in this series captures the intricacy and diversity of seeds emphasizing their role in the cycle of life. By portraying seeds in various stages of development I hope to remind viewers of the importance of nurturing and protecting the natural world.

One of my significant installations is centered around the theme of deforestation. This installation aims to shed light on the detrimental effects of deforestation on our environment. By juxtaposing organic and artificial materials, a thought-provoking experience is created. It invites viewers to reflect on the consequences of human actions. and inspires change and promotes the preservation of our precious ecosystems.

My work is characterised by its abstract nature as I strive to capture the essence of the natural world rather than replicating it in a realistic manner. Through the use of composition texture and colour, I aim to evoke emotional responses in viewers encouraging them to contemplate the beauty and value of our natural surroundings and inspire others to take action to protect it.
